Ryan Engler is a seasoned firearms and tactics instructor with a proven track record in both military and private security sectors. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Ryan served from 2012 to 2017, where he specialized as an Infantry Rifleman (0311), Marine Corps Security Force Guard (8152), and Combat Marksmanship Coach (0933).
During his time in the Marine Corps, Ryan was stationed with the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion in Kings Bay, Georgia, before joining 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines under the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, California. He was later assigned to the Marksmanship Training Branch at Camp Pendleton, where he played a key role in developing and enhancing the shooting proficiency of Marines across the division.
Ryan completed several advanced training programs including the Combat Hunter Course, Desert Warfare Training, Mounted Convoy Operations, and MOUT (Military Operations on Urban Terrain), further sharpening his tactical edge and instructional capabilities.

Following his honorable discharge, Ryan transitioned into the private security and law enforcement support world. He has served as a Restricted Area Escort with Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises, a Security Specialist supporting BPS/BCSO operations, and currently provides private security for a charter school.
Today, Ryan brings his extensive military training and real-world experience to Tip of the Spear Training Group as a dedicated instructor. His background in combat marksmanship, urban warfare, and security operations makes him a valuable asset to students seeking professional-grade firearms and tactical training rooted in real-world application.
