JASON McKINNEY'S INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY

Jason is currently a Detective with the Melbourne Police Department and has served with the agency for 12 years in various capacities.  He is a state certified firearms instructor within his department.

Jason persistently strives to remain a student of life and seek out constant training and instructor development in the area of firearms, tactics, and tactical medical care.  He has attended many training courses, including tactical pistol and rifle curriculums (State LE courses), force-on-force instructor training, adult learning classes and seminars, and networked within firearms instructor conferences.  He is also a certified instructor for ALERRT (an organization which teaches active killer response for LE).

Jason’s firearm experience extends into citizen life as well, being a longtime enthusiast of the hunting community.  Additionally, Jason is a staunch advocate in the Second Amendment and an unwavering believer of the United Stated Constitution and what is stands for.
