Gun activists seem to believe if the country made semi-automatic rifles magically disappear, murder would also be ended, once and for all.
Except. Rifles are used as a weapon in just two percent of all homicides.
In our modern carbine course we teach you the fundamentals of shooting and how to zero your iron sights.
These weapons can go for less than $1,000, though they can be customized and cost in the thousands of dollars. The National Rifle Association estimates there are some eight million AR-15s and its variations in circulation, and says they are so popular that the "AR" should stand for "America's Rifle."
AR. It's not an assault rifle.
It just stands for Armalite Model 15. The "AR" is armalite and not "assault rifle" and the 15 is just the model number.
For some, the gun is a tool, a finely tuned machine that can cut down an animal or intruder, or pierce a distant target, with a single precise shot.
